Sleep Disruption and Daylight Savings Time Change
March 2, 2008 by Jimson Lee
Just a reminder, Daylight Savings Time is a week away in USA & Canada (March 9, 2008)
I’m certainly looking forward to longer days, as I’m tired of finishing track practices in total darkness.
The one hour time difference, either from Daylight Savings/Standard Time, or traveling one time zone, does make a difference on your sleep patterns. Make no mistake about it.
I already wrote about the Humans’ Natural Circadian Rhythm Disrupted By Daylight Savings Time last fall.
If you feel 8 hours of sleep makes you a zombie, be sure to read The Best Method to Sleep using your REM cycle and understand why 7.5 or 9 hours of sleep is better.
Or, in my case, how I survive on 6 hours of sleep or less (4.5 hours).
