Ivan Pedroso 9 meter Long Jump?
June 4, 2008 by Jimson Lee
Forget Usain Bolt’s 9.72 World Record!
Forget Ben Johnson!
The fastest recorded 100 meters of all time is Obadale Thompson, who ran 9.69!
Of course, this was at altitude, with a wind of nearly 5 meters per second! That’s over 10 miles per hour!
There are other superhuman feats with the help of Mother Nature or a bit bad luck.
Here is another one of my “favorites”.
This video shows Ivan Pedroso with a 9.20 meter Long Jump, but it was a foul with an illegal wind. Subtract the foul and it’s still over 9 meters!
Here is an interesting 5 minute post-analysis on YouTube.
And who can forget Walter Davis 17.71 meters Triple Jump?
