2008 Harry Jerome Track Classic - 800 meters Men

June 22, 2008 by Jimson Lee

The 2008 Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome International Track Classic will mark the 25th anniversary of the meet being named in honour of great Canadian sprinter Harry Jerome. Harry Jerome was the 1964 Olympic bronze medalist and former world record holder.

Men’s 800 meters

Gary Reed runs a solo 1:45.44 despite running a 1:45.66 two nights earlier in Victoria. He splits a quick 51.1 for 400 meters. He’s definitely a contender, not a pretender, for Beijing!

I had the pleasure of hearing Gary Reed at the Beyond the Finish Line with Gary Reed event in May 2008.
