		<description>@Adarian - yes, running form has a lot to do with posture, as well as the other way around.

Good posture, &amp; good running mechanics, has a lot to do with reduced injuries.  It doesn&#039;t matter if you run 100 meters or the marathon.</description>

		<description>One thing that will improve posture is landing on the ball of the foot while running.
Landing can be define as the part of the foot that is in contact with the ground when full body weight is on it.
It will either be the whole foot, the forefoot, but never just the ball of the foot.

Not saying that Pilates and yoga can&#039;t help and doesn&#039;t help people.</description>

The key factor in increasing your stride length and reducing ground contact time is through the negative or eccentric phase of hip travel.

Which is influence by foot strike, the action of the leg prior to foot strike along with the action of the foot prior to and after foot strike.

The concentric phase is the end result of things happening prior to it not what you do during it.

USATF gets it wrong in their Level II Sprint education program book page 19, second paragraph, first sentence and third paragraph last sentence.

If they would change the 2nd and 3rd bullet point on page 17 under theâ€the biomechanics of force application dictate that these feature occurâ€, it would open people eyes to how the world record got lowered to 9.69 and will get faster.</description>
