How to Run a Fast 40 Yard Dash by J.R. Redmond

January 7, 2009 by Jimson Lee

PressPassTV is another new media company bringing you behind the scenes in the sports world like it’s meant to be.

They promise to bring a new meaning to the term, Reality Sports

They promise no highlight reels, no analysis, or no stats, because you know where to go for that (Duh - this site?). The show will have a different twist where you will get a feel to actually hang out with real and former athletes.

Their web site, www.presspass.tv, is still under beta.

Their motto is, “To bridge the gap between athletes and fans, bridges must be built”.

In any case, here is a 4 minute video on YouTube by J.R. Redmond. He played for the New England Patriots, Oakland Raiders, and Arizona Cardinals. He won a Super Bowl as a member of the Patriots in Super Bowl XXXVI and he has a ring to prove it. Don’t mess with him.

    A few issues,
    1. the only way to run a 39 yard dash instead of a 40 is to start from 39 yards.
    2. The more pressure you put on the down had hand the slower the initial movement, which is counterproductive to running a fast 40 time.
3.You can’t explode if you stand flat footed. It is very difficult for adults let along young athletes start that bunched up and still start the ball of the feet unless you use the cheetah sprint start.
    4. He got the arm stuff half right and half not to right.
5 Dead on about the elbow action.
    6. one of the better videos on running a 40 yard dash.
