If you are familiar with Meet-up and Meet-me, you’ll certainly love Sportsvite.com
Ever wanted to join a team, but couldn’t find the right players? You tried Craigslist, but to no avail?
Or, perhaps you moved to a new city and wanted to find a soccer, football or basketball team to join?
Enter Sportsvite.com
Sportsvite was started for everyone who loves sports, but finds it frustrating to actually organize games or find people who want to play them. To help, they have built the premier Web service for organizing active sports and connecting with other players for league teams, pick-up games, and sports/activity groups.
Sportsvite combines sports-specific targeted search and member profiles with user-friendly invitation and game management tools. Members can also keep track of stats and future games, send out email invitations, and maintain their schedule for their teams in leagues or casual pick-up games. Sportsvite is and always will be a free service for our members.
Free is good.
What can Sportsvite.com do?
Basically, they can manage and connect sports lovers together. To summarize:
Manage – Create a team and get everyone on the same page.
- Send game invites & RSVPs
- Manage your season schedule
- Communicate more easily
Connect – Find other people who play sports in your area.
- Find players for your team
- Join teams and groups
- Check out the latest in your area
This is such a great service, I wish I started it. Then again, I wish I started eBay or Facebook too. For more information, go to www.Sportsvite.com
Hello Jimson,
I saw your post on Sportvite and thought I would encourage you to take a look at this site too :)
Hopefully you will find it interesting enough to mention it on your site as it can also help people get together for sports/activities based on their skill levels, location (and many other criteria).
Best regards,
Ben.
@Ben – You are faster than me!
After I wrote this, I researched the same type of services elsewhere, and came up with a handful… FanPage, FanNation, FanSpot, Tired and Tested, Takkle and SportsMates, to name a few.
Sports Illustrated bought FanNation last year.
I will check out http://www.myactivitymatch.com/
