Who was a teenager or young adult during the 1980”s?

Who remembers spending countless quarters on the Konami Track and Field Video arcade game?

What techniques did you use to hit the buttons at a rapid-fire rate?  Cadence was the key! Some even used a flat pencil back and forth to hit the two buttons.

I remember running 9.5 seconds for the 100 meters, and asking myself there is no way a human can run that fast!  I guess I was wrong, but after all this was 1982!

And I was able to high jump 2.45 meters before Sotomayor.  The timing of the take off was critical, as well as the angle (42 degrees) plus the kick with the calves.

Anyone remember Frogger and Double Dribble?

Well, retro is back!  The good folks at Retrogamer (powered by iwon) has introduced their free toolbar.

It lets users play classic arcade games, right from their desktop!  To use iwon, your PC must be running Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.

You will be installing a software program on your computer, in the form of a toolbar installed in your Internet browser.  However, the toolbar can be easily uninstalled.

The problem, like all video games, is pure addiction.  So you have been warned!

Sorry, this offer is only available to the USA.
