Last winter, I predicted 5 of players from NCAA Football with Track backgrounds on how fast they would fare at the NFL Combine. I was mostly interested in the speed, power and strength components.
Most notable athletes include Trindon Holiday, Jacoby Ford and CJ Spiller.
For those who are interested in seeing their 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine, here are the official videos. Official 40 yard dash times is another story!

I don’t give “NFL 40 yard dash times” or any other 40 yard dash times ANY CREDIBILITY or substance. The reason? Such times don’t bear the scrutiny or accuracy of fully automated times, FAT. So, now the NFL has some absurd “hybrid” form of timekeeping where the start is at the runner’s discretion and is hand-timed, while the finish is supposedly electronically timed!? Did some 3rd grade student create that concept? I have got a brilliant idea. Why don’t the NFL braniacs set up 2 sets of cones or parallel pylons–spaced exactly 40 yards apart. The instant the runner breaks the plane of the first cones or pylons–the clock automatically starts, and when the runner breaks the plane of the finish line–the clock stops. That way, the runner can leave when he wants, there is no manual innacuracy, and the time represents the “true running” time of the dash–there would be no reaction time to consider. I swear, I have never heard of such morons before in my life!
