Without the Americans and the Jamaicans, the media has been playing the Christophe Lemaitre vs Dwain Chambers hype all week.
At the 2010 European Athletics Championships, four men finished in 10.18, yet another reason to lean at the finish line. Crowd favorite Christophe Lemaitre wins in 10.11.
In addition, maybe he’ll get an invite to the DN Galan Stockholm Diamond League meet next Friday (August 6th)?
Seeing these results, the 4x100m relay should be very interesting.
I’ll let the results speak for themselves.
I’ll post videos as they come in.
Paralympian Jason Smyth of Ireland with a personal best of 10.32 is the first legally blind athlete to compete at the European Championships. He finished fourth in a time of 10.46.
UPDATE: Sorry, the video is no longer on YouTube.
Very good race for Lemaitre and he gets the title of european champion in 100m.
Good time 10.11 with -1.0 m/s. With a normal wind this mark is about 9.9x-10.0
This guy has a big talent and he is getting the experience that he needs for compete with the best runners in the world.
I think that the next year in Daegu,World Championship, he will get arrive until the final and in the olympic games in london 2012, and with better tecnique and a body more worked he could perhaps try a possible bronze.
In normal conditions Bolt and Gay should be 1st and 2nd but in the third place i see people like Yohan Blake, Asafa Powell(if he has good level yet) and Lemaitre.

I have one question for Mr Jimson Lee, i did not see splits never of Lemaitre, but by his experience, which you think that is his best split in these moments. 0.85 perhaps or 0.86?
