This Canadian Athletics Coaching Center “Coach Cast” highlights what current and historical research has told us about the sprint relay, both in terms of what elite teams actually do in competition and what certain authors believe are the most important technical aspects to achieve success with a relay team.
The “Coach Cast” will explore what the research deems to be the most important technical abilities of athletes in a team, and therefore discuss how a coach can decide what athlete should run a particular leg depending on characteristics of the athlete and requirements of the leg.
