I wrote about the The RedBull UPHILL 400 meters 3 years ago, (with an update here) and a lot of people thought it was just a fad… just like the Spartan or Tough Mudder runs.
Somehow Scandinavian countries like this kind of stuff. That’s because the country has mountains, fjords and plenty of hills!
We’ve seen races up the CN Tower or Empire State Building using the stairs, but how about a straight 400 meters up a very long set of stairs?
Anytime you have anaerobic glycolysis with lactic acid (or acidosis with an accumulation of hydrogen ions, or H+) you will be in a world of hurt. Usually from 15 to 40 seconds, and again from 40 seconds to 2 minutes. The 400m falls into this category!
If you want to test your speed endurance, try this race below!
The Malminkartanonhuippu (or the Malminkartano Hill) is in Finland, only 14km north of Helsinki.
Sprintje nemenWie doet er mee? zijn slechts maar een paar treden die bewandeld moeten worden ???.
