The good folks at the Canadian Athletics Coaching Centre (CACC) have once again provided some stellar content.
Even though Derek Evely and Kevin Tyler have left for the UK, the CACC continues to be a great source of information. Highly recommended with a mixture of free content, as well as paid premium content such as downloadable videos.
In this podcast, we have my former teammate Laurier Primeau on the podcast. Laurier went on to form a club that was a direct competitor to my own Track Club with Derek Hansen, but healthy competition is always a good thing. Besides, when our athletes got to the National Team (which was BOTH of our ultimate goals), then who really cares what Club you belong to? It’s all about the flag, baby!

How to Run a Track Program
Recently, Laurier was the Head Coach at scottishathletics (Scotland’s National Team) until January 2011, and now at Trinity Western University.
In this podcast, which is over 30 minutes long, he talks about the key pillars for building and developing a program for a coach to consider.
He provides lessons learned from his own experiences, particularly around collaborating with coaches, creating a sense of ownership amongst volunteer coaches as well as how to build coaching potential.
