The Coaches Club is either a hybrid in-person (live at the event) with a virtual session, or 100% virtual for this World Indoor Championships (WIC) in Nanjing, China.
To moderate the Zoom sessions, I need 3 computers. One for the main Zoom webinar, for recording and answering live questions and chats. Another computer or iPad to remotely monitor “what attendees see”, including if Closed Captions or Live Transcripts is working properly. And finally, one computer for notes & research.
Unlike the outdoor championships, which is 9 or 10 days long, this WIC was only 3 intense days. You can hear from our discussion that they could or should extend the meet to 4 days, as they do for European Indoor Championships, especially with the addition of the mixed 4x400m relays on Day 1.
The Club has a variety of experts in each discipline, as you can see in our Brady Bunch matrix of experts. You’ll hear our take on the new field event rules of the new 12-10-8-6 format, among other insights. All events are covered… no event is left out.

Once you login the eLearning site, go to the left sidebar and choose “Events”. You can see all the past Coaches Club sessions, as well as the quarterly “Coaching Matters” series in conjunction with the GACA.

Once you select a session, enjoy the video! Like YouTube, you can speedup the video 1.25X or 1.5X speed, if needed! (Sorry, Closed Captions is only available during the live stream)

We will be adding Language translation in future series, so watch this space!
As always, we are always looking to improve our Coaches Club. Feel free to contact me, and let me know how we can make this better for you, the coaches!
