The Men’s race was billed as the Dwain Chambers and Christophe Lemaitre showdown. But some forgot to mention that to Francis Obikwelu! I would have preferred to have the Preliminary round on Day 1 with the Semi-Finals and Finals the same day, 90 minutes apart. Instead, the first 2 rounds were held on Day 1 with the Final only on Day 2. If they did that, they would probably see faster times in the Finals.
Emanuele Di Gregorio of Italy has a great start leading the first 30 meters. But he is lucky not to get disqualified as he steps out of his lane several times.
The Women’s race was all about Jodie Williams. After all, she is only 17 years old! She is coached by Mike McFarlane, who trained John Regis, Tony Jarrett and Dwaine Chambers once upon a time. 2012 may be too early for her, but watch out for her by 2016 as she gets older and stronger.
The two Ukraine’s made this a great race.

The video coverage os sports events is a disgrace. This now notorius camera angle at the start is depriving us of the whole perspective of the race.
I have to totally agree with you. That’s why we try to attend events live using our own camcorders and record in the highest possible quality for use with analysis software like Dartfish.
yeah I am not a big fan of the camera angle used either ;(
