2011 Rome Golden Gala – Men’s 200 meters

Sorry, Usain, but the Men’s 200 meters drew the loudest cheers during the race.

The Men’s 200 meters was a non Samsung Diamond League event with USA-born Italian Long Jumper Andrew Howe winning the race in an impressive 20.31, beating seasoned 200m specialists Shawn Crawford, and Christian Malcolm.

I have videos from the TV feed as well as raw footage from my camcorder so you can just imagine how deafening the sound was as Howe inched closer to the finish line with every stride.  (My HD camera chose a fine time to malfunction, so I am using my backup camera… sorry for the non-HD footage!)
