Redemption for Nery Brenes: 400m at World Indoors

Costa Rican Nery Brenes had a victory locked up in the men’s 400m at the 2012 Birmingham Grand Prix.  I projected a 45.2 or 45.3 performance with an aggressive first 200 meters.

But freak accidents occur in the last 50 meters of a 400m, and he accidently stepped on the advertising billboard and crashed.

Make no mistake about it, Nery Brenes will not crash into anything this time, except for the finish line tape.

With 3 races in 2 days, Nery Brenes won in a dominating 45.11 performance.
