If you followed my Blog, Facebook, or Twitter channel, you’ll notice a recurring theme… I care about the Athlete’s higher education goals and their track performances. Sometimes, even more so.

Why?

Because unless you are Usain Bolt, you will make more money in your Professional career than in your running. (I made $0 cash in my Prime, so that was easy!)

Maybe I was influenced by John Wooden in my early years of coaching. I read several of his books.

So when I hear about someone’s life goals, this is quite a resume:

  • Youth World Champion (1999)
  • U20 (Junior) World Champion (2000)
  • 2 time World Champion (2003, 07)
  • 2nd sport, Bobsleigh, a Winter sport (2014)
  • Undergrad (2017)
  • Medical school (2020)

Even in Jana’s recent interview with Alan Jones (Aug 2020), where he asked what was the highlight? She replied “Medicine probably tops it for me”

The same with Sir Roger Banister. He’d rather talk about his career in NeuroScience, than his 4 minute mile!

Jana Pittman – This is Your Life

Once again, thanks to Mike Hurst of the FastTrack 400 club on Facebook, based out of Sydney, AUS, who recorded this 1 hour in-person session with Jana. Plenty of Q&A at the end of the talk.

You can see more other articles, videos, PDFs and podcasts from Mike Hurst (highly recommended), including the session with Dan Pfaff & Jana on the treatment table! Ouch!

This is worth a watch. I am so tired of Zoom calls.
