2008 Harry Jerome Track Classic – 1500 meters Men

June 22, 2008 by Jimson Lee Leave a Comment

The 2008 Vancouver Sun Harry Jerome International Track Classic will mark the 25th anniversary of the meet being named in honour of great Canadian sprinter Harry Jerome. Harry Jerome was the 1964 Olympic bronze medalist and former world record holder.

Men’s 1500 meters

Taylor Milne runs away from the field with 300 meters to go in an IAAF “A” standard of 3:36.00… a huge PB! “Sully” splits 800 meters in 1:53!

He beats an impressive field of Americans Grant Robinson and Galen Rupp.

In the Canadian field, he defeats favorites Nathan Brannen and Kevin Sullivan. This will be one of the events to watch at the Canadian Trials.

8 guys under 3:40 in this race on Canadian soil.
