NIKE, Inc. today announced the launch of the Air Pegasus+ 26 performance running shoe on NIKEiD.com. The Air Pegasus+ 26 debut on NIKEiD.com marks the most robust customization package ever available for a running shoe by offering customized width, independent left-right sizing, mid sole cushioning options, outsole choices and vast material and color options.

Runners around the globe are looking for function and comfort when they run. Customization provides a  competitive performance edge for runners whether it’s against themselves or in a race. Customizing with color provides inspiration and allows them to blaze their own trail. In addition to customizing the Air Pegasus+ 26 at NIKEiD.com, people can personally design their shoe at one of the 12 Niketown locations worldwide.NIKE-Air-Pegasus 26-performance-running-shoe-ASAFA-POWELL

“The Pegasus is a fixture in the running community that has a loyal and devoted following,” said Leslie Lane, Nike’s Global Vice President of the Running Category. “We’re excited to expand on this shoe’s top-of-the-line innovations in performance by allowing runners total customization from the traction to the fit. This NIKEiD offering is a significant milestone is the rich history of the Pegasus.”

The Air Pegasus+ 26 will offer runners the chance to fine tune their fit. By choosing a specific width and independent left-right sizing, selecting a road or trail outsole and picking their upper material of choice, runners can maximize the performance benefits of a shoe.

Designed to provide runners with a durable, comfortable, and affordable option, Pegasus has experienced an array of modifications in an effort to be a top shoe for a variety of runners.

After 26 years on the feet of elite and everyday runners, Pegasus continues to prove that it’s capable of running past just about anything.

The Air Pegasus+ 26 shoe is a great choice for runners with a mildly-underpronated to mildly-overpronated gait and seek a long-wearing shoe with top-notch comfort, fit and cushioning. Strategically placed overlays provide zonal support for a snug, secure fit, enhanced stability and a smooth, natural range of motion through all phases of footstrike. A full-length air sole unit delivers the ride and cushioning associated with the Air Pegasus franchise and now accommodates a Nike+ sensor for an enhanced running experience. Lastly, a full-length Nike Rideliner footbed is formulated from a soft PU foam for improved comfort and cushioning directly underfoot.

The shoe that started with mission to provide the “everyday runner” with an affordable, reliable option is celebrating 26 years of running excellence with unlimited customization.
