Primo Angeli’s Olympic Posters

If you’ve seen the famous official poster for 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, or the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics (see below), then you are familiar with the works of Primo Angeli.

He also designed the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympic poster as well as Team USA for the 1998 Nagano Olympics.

But Primo is more than just posters. His clients also include Guinness (yeah baby!), Ben and Jerry’s, Nestlé, Lavazza coffee, Seattle’s Best, and Hyatt Hotels. The list is huge.

No, there’s no Usain Bolt in this picture, even though the focus is on him this time around.

Here is Primo’s latest celebratory poster for the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Note how the 2012 red logo is placed in the armband of a Greek discus thrower.
