Harry Marra on Gill Athletics Podcast

April 16, 2020 by Jimson Lee Leave a Comment

The last time I listened to a podcast with Harry Marra was back in 2012 when Glenn Whitney interviewed him in 2012.

Fast Forward 8 years. Because a lot has happened in 8 years. (heck, a lot has happened on the last 2 months with the coronavirus!)

Who the heck is Harry Marra?

Harry Marra was the coach of both American Ashton Eaton, and Canadian heptathlete Brianna Theissen in 2012.  He also coached Olympic decathletes Dan O’Brien (Gold 1996), Dave Johnson (Bronze 1992) and Paul Terek (21st in 2004)

MUST READ: How to Race the 400m, as told by Ashton Eaton. His PB is an impressive 45.00 and he basically copied the strategy of Quincy Watts, Bryshon Nellum & Lashawn Merritt.

This is a 3 part series, hosted by Mike Cunningham of Gill Athletics, the makers of the Gill Fusion F10 Starting blocks, and other fine track and field equipment.

You can also read my review of the Gill Fusion F10 Starting blocks here.
