Sport Psychology – Books and Resources

January 19, 2008 by Jimson Lee Leave a Comment

In my previous article on Sport Psychology, I promised to mention one of my favorite resources on this highly specialized topic. I highly doubt Asafa Powell’s coaches are researching this in depth, but you never know.

The Sport Psychology Arena provides professionals, researchers, instructors, coaches and students with information on the range of Sport Psychology books produced by Psychology Press and Routledge. Their journals consists of articles from the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology and International Review of Sport and Exercise Psychology

The Journal of Applied Sport Psychology is a refereed journal designed to advance thought, theory, and research on applied aspects of sport and exercise psychology.

The purpose of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) is to promote the development of psychological theory, research, and intervention strategies in sport psychology. The journal is a direct benefit of membership in AASP and is received by student and professional members.

InformaWorld offers journals, eBooks, abstract from their online database, and reference works from:

  • Taylor & Francis
  • Routledge
  • Informa Healthcare
  • Psychology Press

If you are a student at a major University or College, these articles are available to you at your library at no cost.
