The Women’s 4×400 meter Relay at the 2012 World Indoor Championships provided the best race of the meet.
The race clearly shows how to run the relay, because anyone can win a relay. Aristotle once said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”.
This video on YouTube is in my film collection when I need to point out how to run the 4×400… both good and bad.
You have to give credit Great Britain’s Christine Ohuruogu on the 3rd leg, and USA’s Sanya Richards-Ross made a few technical mistakes on her anchor leg. With this high caliber of racing, even the slightest error can result in the difference between Gold and Silver.

Very good race, but i cant wait to see this in the Olympic finals when we load it up. I want to see another good race but I think the US has too many legs for any other country. Indoor is very tactical but it was good to see, bc it has lit a fire under the US women sprinters.
For some runners, it was their 4th race in 3 days!
