Matt’s Training Log: Pull-Ups World Record Attempt Week 6 & 7

In the next 8 weeks, Matt Bogdanowicz will be submitting his training log for his world record attempt in the 30 minute pull-ups on October 27. You can read his log here on Speedendurance.com.

Training Log 30 minute World Record by Matt Bogdanowicz

Week 6
Rest left Arm!

Wednesday October 3rd
13 sets General back exercises
10-15 reps per set, medium resistance.
Ice tendon in left arm following.

Week 7

Sunday October 7th

  • 4 minutes 45 pull-ups with 27LBS
  • Rest 4 minutes
  • 4 minutes 46 pull-ups with 27LBS
  • Rest 5:00 minutes
  • 80 body weight pull ups total
    Total 171 reps

    Tuesday October 9th

  • Timed: 30 seconds 25 speed pull ups
  • :30 second rest
  • Timed :30 seconds 21 pull ups.

  • 8 x 37LB
  • 8 x 37LB
  • 10 x 27LB

    Bodyweight

  • 15 reps
  • 14 reps
  • 12 reps
  • 12 reps
    Totals: 125 reps total, 26 weighted.
    Pressed for time, workout was 9-10 minutes in its entirety.

    Thursday October 11
    One set of 44 pull ups in 60 seconds

    14 additional exercises (10 various machines 10-16 reps)
    Incorporate, 4 weighted Pull up sets, 32 reps with 47LBS
