Secret List of Free Books from Amazon

July 27, 2009 by Jimson Lee Leave a Comment

I like to save money whenever I can, and spend it on other important things such as food, travel, and Championship entry fees.

So when I came across this tip about Amazon, I couldn’t resist.

I talked about the Amazon Kindle in a previous post, as it’s the best device to read several books concurrently especially when travelling.

The Digital selection on Amazon Bestsellers List are full of popular items that have “sold” including the free items.  Therefore it appears on the bestsellers list.  It’s too bad you can’t sort by price, and then just buy (for free that is) and download all the books to your hearts content.

Whispernet’s 3G network isn’t available in Canada, but luckily Seattle is a short drive away.

Here is the best part.  If you find the price of a Kindle too expensive, but already have an iPhone or iTouch, then you are in luck.

Now Support for iPhone and iTouch

Another great feature of the Amazon Kindle is you can read these Kindle books on your iPhone or iTouch with by getting it free from the Apple App Store.  Other benefits include:

  • No Kindle required!  Great news if you find their price tag too steep, but already own an IPhone or iTouch.
  • Access your Kindle books even if you don’t have your Kindle with you
  • Automatically synchronizes your last page read between devices with Amazon Whispersync
  • Adjust the text size, add bookmarks, and view the annotations you created on your Kindle

    New Amazon Kindle DX

For Adults with an unlimited allowance, there is the newer and larger Amazon Kindle DX with a 9.7 inch display compared to the 6 inch display on the regular Amazon Kindle.
